Marta dorme nel letto di tre fiumi is a participative and relational project conceived to force the boundaries of the traditional exhibiting space and create a direct relationship with the town of Bergamo. Marta dorme nel letto di tre fiumi is the title of an original short story by Leo Merati, a young author from Bergamo. The story is about a peculiar research and a chance encounter. Bergamo is both the background and the supporting role of the story. That is all we know.
There are 29 copies of the book, but each one contains just one and only page of the story. The 29 copies has been strewed through Bergamo in libraries, markets, kiosks etc. Whoever will bump into one of the copies is allowed to take it and to unlock its page on an online e-book, by sending an email with the code of the copy. The virtual free-access version of the book will host the pages which have been unlocked until then.
Baco - Arte Contemporanea has presented the only physical copy of the book inside microgallery, MAPS - Museum of Art in Public Space’s project room. During the exhibition it has been shown also the virtual version of the book, with all the at-the-moment unlocked pages.
