Fusion Point 1350 is based on learning and mastering one industrial technique, typical of a large steel mill, resized to size of man, mine, favoring a game of disproportion between a very complex reality; as complex as that of a company where the machines reach enormouse dimensions gigantic and, on the other side, the size of man. I try to analyze the future starting from the assumption that if we want to influence our culture, the design of the instruments is a good place to start. When we delegate this role to the so-called “experts”, we abdicate an important responsibility. The development of new tools allows us to access new experiences that we otherwise would not have the chance to live. Thanks to networking and self learning with tutorials, forums and news found online, or anyway news that are pubic, real practices of collective intelligence can be recorded. The oven melting process is reproduced in a video performance by creating a continuous fusion cycle.
